My Background
I am an amateur photographer with a love for capturing what is around me. My joy is sharing what I see and feel. I am originally from South Wales and although the 'boy' left Wales, you will never take Wales out of the boy. "Hiraeth" is a Welsh word which cannot be directly translated into English, but it loosely means 'a longing' for home. I now live in Sooke, British Columbia, which reminds me a lot of my home in Wales. My pictures are from the special memories I have of Wales, Sooke and other places I have lived and visited. "There is a picture around every corner."
Photography as Communication
I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My pictures tell my stories.
